Synergism in TiO2 photocatalytic ozonation for the removal of dichloroacetic acid and thiacloprid

چکیده

The synergistic effect of the photocatalytic ozonation process (PH-OZ) using photocatalyst TiO2 is usually attributed to influences physicochemical properties catalyst, pollutant type, pH, temperature, O3 concentration, and other factors. It also often claimed that good adsorption on surface beneficial for occurrence synergism. Herein, we tested these assumptions by five different commercial photocatalysts (P25, PC500, PC100, PC10 JRC-TiO-6) in three advanced oxidation systems - photocatalysis (O2/TiO2/UV), catalytic (O3/TiO2) PH-OZ (O3/TiO2/UV) degradation two pollutants (dichloroacetic acid DCAA thiacloprid) simultaneously present water. was much more pronounced case thiacloprid, a molecule with low catalyst contrast stronger adsorption. faster kinetics correlated higher exposed area agglomerates, independent (lower) BET surfaces primary particles. Nevertheless, mineralization than thiacloprid solution. Therefore, propose high crucial fast reactions (DCAA mineralization), while dispersion (small) agglomerates charge separation play an important role or less adsorbed organic (thiacloprid).

The nature of chlorine-inhibition of photocatalytic degradation of dichloroacetic acid in a TiO2-based microreactor.

Photocatalytic degradation of dichloroacetic acid (DCA) was studied in a continuous-flow set-up using a titanium microreactor with an immobilized double-layered TiO2 nanoparticle/nanotube film. Chloride ions, formed during the degradation process, negatively affect the photocatalytic efficiency and at a certain concentration (approximately 0.5 mM) completely stop the reaction in the microreacto...

Photocatalytic ozonation of 2, 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid in water with a new TiO2 fiber

More effective techniques are required to mineralize the increasing number of recalcitrant organic contaminants at low concentrations in the water environment using advanced oxidation process. Though relatively new, photocatalytic ozonation (O3/UV/TiO2) is considered superior to ozonation (O3) and photocatalysis (UV/TiO2), due to synergistic effects and use of immobilized TiO2 photocatalysts is...

the search for the self in becketts theatre: waiting for godot and endgame

this thesis is based upon the works of samuel beckett. one of the greatest writers of contemporary literature. here, i have tried to focus on one of the main themes in becketts works: the search for the real "me" or the real self, which is not only a problem to be solved for beckett man but also for each of us. i have tried to show becketts techniques in approaching this unattainable goal, base...

PHOTOCATALYTIC OZONATION FOR THE DEGRADATION OF TETRADIFON PESTICIDE ON Mn/TiO2 UNDER VISIBLE LIGHT

The photocatalytic activity of Mn doped TiO2 for the ozonation of tetradifon pesticide in aqueous solution was studied. Various loadings of catalysts Mn/TiO2 (1%, 2.5% and 5%) was prepared and characterized by standard analytical techniques. Photocatalyzed ozonation with 2.5% Mn/TiO2 yielded 100% degradation and mineralization of tetradifon in 2.0 h under basic pH conditions. The extent of degr...
